About the Mold: The Roc3 holds a line in a variety of wind conditions and has a predictable fade, making this an ideal ‘Go-To’ Mid-Range in almost any situation. Advanced players will love the versatility of this disc while newer players can rely on the consistent finish.
Some Notes on this Disc: This Proto Roc3 was released in February 2013. Innova wanted to create a signature Roc for Paul McBeth and since this was the third variation of the Rancho Cucamonga Roc, it was nicknamed “RC3”. Apparently this simple moniker stuck as they went with “Roc3” for the official new name. The top “dome” of the disc has been flattened, which reduces aerodynamic drag, allowing the disc to travel faster through the air. Eventually, they applied this new performance feature to other discs in their lineup, resulting in the “3” Series, which now includes an updated version of many Innova classics. That being said, this specific Roc3 is slightly domey in comparison to other plastics in the same mold, but not quite as domey as a KC Roc.
