About the mold: The TeeBird is one of our most accurate and reliable fairway drivers. It has a combination of straight flight, high glide and good speed that make it accurate and long flying both upwind and downwind. It is a popular choice for pros including 12 time World Champion and Hall-of-Famer Ken Climo as well as 2009 World Champion Avery Jenkins. The Teebird is very versatile driver; Excellent for pin-point accuracy, distance and sidearm.
Some notes on the plastic: This KC Pro plastic is not the same as modern KC Pro plastic. In 2000 Ken Climo won his 10th world championship. During this time KC Pro plastic was a Taffy/Early CE blend and displayed Innova’s signature Bar Stamp. It was grippy and fairly durable but eventually broke down and became brittle. By the time Ken Climo won his 11th world championship in 2002, Innova had moved on to the more modern Swoosh Stamp and created a blend of plastic that was clear, durable, and sometimes pearly. This blend was known as Candy Pro, and is also seen in later runs of Champion Edition (CE). These Teebirds tended to be flatter and generally more overstable with less glide.
In 2004 when the name of this blend was changed to Champion, the “Eleven Time” carried over, despite the change in plastic and was produced until Ken Climo won his 12th world title in 2006 at which time the stamp was changed to “Twelve Time”. Later, around 2010, when Innova started putting flight numbers on their discs, the “Twelve Time” stamp on Champion Teebirds was changed to “12x”. They are straighter with more glide out of the box.
