About the mold: The Eagle is our original, professional level fairway driver. It ushered in a new era for distance and reliability. The Eagle’s superior speed and predictable flight characteristics let you make confident and accurate long range power shots. The Eagle’s high speed turn is excellent for power turnover shots.
Some notes on the plastic: This KC Pro plastic is not the same as modern KC Pro plastic. In 2000 Ken Climo won his 10th world championship. During this time KC Pro plastic was a Taffy/Early CE blend and displayed Innova’s signature Bar Stamp. It is grippy, fairly durable, and feels more like Star plastic than KC Pro.
X-Mold vs L-Mold: The Original L mold appeared in the first CE drivers. At the time, Innova thought that nobody wanted the more stable versions of these discs in premium plastic. It took far too long to beat them in, due to the strength and durability of CE plastic. The molds were tweaked to be slightly less stable. This was not advertised as a new mold by Innova and continued to be marketed and sold as the Eagle. Ten Time KC Pro Eagles were run in both versions of the molds.
